As part of the monthly online webinar series, this program is offered for professionals and organizations to help improve awareness of issues for the LGBT community. Registration is required and attendance is limited.
This interactive session will discuss factors contributing to the escalated substance use within the LGBT community. We will review terminology and provide an overview of how to become more culturally aware when working with your clients. If you are currently working directly with LGBT individuals this may be more basic than what you are looking for. This will be an opportunity for people to ask questions and to help understand heterosexim and internalized heterosexism.
