Mental Health Professionals
As a health professional you are an important part of the treatment process. Many times clients will come into treatment following a recommendation from their mental health specialist and will continue visits following their treatment program.
PRIDE Institute offers a range of substance abuse and mental health treatment ranging from detox through outpatient services, all specifically catered to the LGBTQ+ community. With 24 hour nursing care, clients are monitored during the detox process. Visit the Treatment Programs tab for more information.

How and When to Refer
The admission referral process at PRIDE Institute can be very smooth for both you and the client. You are welcome to call on behalf of the client to gather information on our programs and determine if we are a good fit for your client. However, eventually the admission staff at PRIDE Institute will need to speak to your client, take an initial assessment and gather insurance payment information. Feel free to review the the Admissions section of our site to help you and your client understand the process a bit more.
A Team To Support You
The entire staff at PRIDE Institute are here to support you and your client or family members. Our Business Development Team is a great contact for you prior to your referral to answer questions and supply you with materials to share with your clients or loved one. The Business Development Team has created a nationwide system of referrals and resources, so please don’t hesitate to contact them to help you with your LGBTQ+ clients. Our primary goal is to help LGBTQ+ people receive safe and supportive care wherever possible.
Payment Options for Our Mental Health Services
PRIDE Institute accepts most major forms of insurance, self pay, and Minnesota state funding. We have worked with outside loan agencies, as well as provide financial counseling to help to eliminate this barrier to treatment. When considering paying for treatment, PRIDE Institute will help you understand your insurance co-pay and deductible if applicable. In addition, the staff can talk with you about Health Savings Accounts, borrowing against a retirement plan, or even a home equity loan to help cover costs for treatment.
Unfortunately because of our licensure, we do not accept Medicare or out of state Medicaid programs.
