Kindred: A Family Weekend Program
PRIDE Institute recognizes that LGBT families are diverse and can consist of biological family, family of choice, or a combination. Every week clients are encouraged to invite family and friends to be a part of regular visiting hours on Saturday. In addition, two times per month PRIDE Institute offers the Kindred Program.
Each client invites his or her defined family to attend the structured education, large-group therapy sessions, and individual therapy sessions as part of the Kindred weekend. The Kindred program is by invitation-only and is a great opportunity for family members to begin to see how their lives will change when their loved one is in recovery.
Registration for the Kindred program is $200 per person for the weekend and includes programming, therapy, materials, and food. Hotel accommodations can be made at area hotels in Eden Prairie (see below for a few recommendations). No family members are permitted to stay on site at PRIDE Institute overnight.
