Join PRIDE Institute Alumni this Saturday at the Walk for Recovery at the Lake of the Isles in Mpls! We are meeting at the PRIDE Institute table from 10am-10:30 to gather up and get ready for the Walk together! Look for the PRIDE table, which will be hosted by Alum and Business Development Rep., Kevin! He will be there along with one of our client’s favorite Techs, ever, Ashley! We’ll have water for you in case you’re parched – but its expected to be a gorgeous day!
Pre-registration online is available until Noon on September 17.
After this time, please register on-site the morning of the Walk.
Minnesota Recovery Connection’s fifth annual Walk for Recovery is a way to celebrate recovery, show your support, generate hope, reduce stigma, and offer living proof that recovery is real! All proceeds will help us to continue our mission to strengthen the recovery community through peer-to-peer support, public education and advocacy.

Be sure to arrive early to get a good parking spot. Carpooling to the event is highly recommended! If you’d prefer to bus to the park, be sure to visit www.metrotransit.org to map your trip to Lake of the Isles: 2020 W Lake Isles Pkwy. Minneapolis, MN 55405.
New this year: Bike Racks!
The Recovery Bike Shop has arranged bike racks for our use at the Walk this year – YAY! So leave your car at home, hop on your bike and tool on down to the celebration. You won’t have to search for any parking – just lock up your bike and enjoy the event!
*Bike locks will not be provided.
Pop-up Repair Station!
Yet another reason to bring your bike to the Walk! While you have your bike at the event, swing by the pop-up repair station that will be doing free bike repairs including: brake adjustments, gear adjustments, bearing adjustments, chain lube, and more!
Check-In and On-site Registration
Beginning at 9:00 am, there will be registration booths set up. Be sure to check in with one of the registration volunteers upon your arrival. This is also where you will receive your free raffle ticket for the 12:30pm raffle. Once you have registered, there will be an Honor Guard table for members with 10 or more years of recovery, where you can pick up your sash. After that, feel free to enjoy some food, fun and fellowship before the Walk starts!
Even if you pre-registered online, you will still need to check-in at the registration booth to sign in, pick up your ticket for the Goodie Bag (if eligible) and get your free raffle ticket and your Honor Guard sash.

Turn in all your off-line donations:
If you have been fundraising – thank you for your efforts, we’re 71% to goal! Please be sure to turn in any off-line donations you have raised. Bring your cash or checks in an envelope and include a list of the donors’ names and addresses (address is for their donation acknowledgement) and amount of the donation. You can use this form here. Turn in your envelope at the Posters & T-shirts tent. Then, after the Walk, MRC will mail out donation acknowledgements to all of your donors that we have mailing addresses for.
This year’s Walk will feature horses from Acres for Life, Henna, a DJ, photo booths, food trucks (credit card payments are accepted), and fun activities for kids like face painting and balloons!
Be sure to take part in fun game stations set up by Two Wolves! See how high you can get at the Tower of Power! Feeling a little competitive? Challenge a Walk Team to a Bean Bag Tourney!
